Turmeric /

Curcuma longa

Choline, Biogenic Amines, Tannin, Carotene

Excellent natural antibiotic.  Strengthens digestion and helps improve intestinal flora.  Promotes proper metabolism.  Antioxidant.   Helps control cholesterol.  Blood purifier.  Antiseptic. Useful against common cold, cough, sore throat, sprains, anemia, and leprosy.

Ginger /

Zingiber officinale

Oleoresin & Volatile Oils, Vitamins B1, B2, Niacin

Useful in digestive and respiratory diseases and arthritic conditions.  Tonic to the heart.  Relieves gas and abdominal cramps along with menstrual cramps due to cold.
Useful in the prevention of paralysis, gout, and aches. Clears chest and nasal congestion.

Black Pepper /

Piper nigrum

Resins, Chavicene & Carotene

One of the most powerful digestive stimulants. Cleanses the alimentary canal, and aids in the destruction of toxins and digestion of food. Benefits the lungs and helps protect against colds and flu.
Aids in relieving hemorrhoids.  Natural preservative for perishable foods.  Aphrodisiac.

Cardamom / Elettaria cardamom

Cineol, Terpeneol, Terpinene, Limonene, Sabinene

One of the safest digestive stimulants. Helps stop nausea, vomiting, belching, and acid reflux.
Prevents excessive watering in the mouth (pyrosis).  Used for treatment of scanty urination, diarrhea, dysentery, and palpitation of heart. Relieves exhaustion due to overwork and depression.

Cumin /

Cyminum

Precursor of Thymol, Cumin Aldehyde

Helpful in treatment of insomnia and common cold.  Helps relieve hemorrhoids.  Anathematic agent against hookworms. Antidote for hot, pungent foods. Increases digestion and absorption.  Good for diarrhea and dysentery.
Acts on renal disorders, piles.

Caraway seeds/ Carum carvi

Carvone Essential Oil,

Vitamin C, E & A

Good for kidney function, joint pains and parasites, including scabies and worms.  Promotes the activation of glandular activity.   Helps alleviate stomach disorders.

Coriander seeds/ Coriandrum

sativum

Essential Oil & Fatty Oils

Improves utilization of glucose; lowers blood glucose level.  Stimulates kidney functions.  Diuretic. Reduces fever.  Eye wash against conjunctivitis.

Asafoetida / Ferula foetida northex

Resinoles Gum having Asaresionotennol

Powerful digestive agent that cleanses the intestinal flora, dispels intestinal gas, and relieves cramping and pain. Used as a spice (particularly for lentils and beans), it makes food lighter, thereby decreasing gas.  Corrects spasmodic disorders.  Useful in respiratory disorders, hysteria, impotency, female sterility, and menstrual disorders.

Cloves /  Syzygium aromaticum

Eugenol Acetate Caryophyllene

Effective stimulant and aromatic for the lungs and stomach.  Dispels chills and disinfects the lymphatics. Powerful analgesic.  Promotes enzymatic flow & improves digestive disorders.  Effective against cough and asthma. Stabilises blood circulation.  Useful in tuberculosis, toothache and muscular cramps.

Bay leaves / Tamalpatra

Contains Tannins

Triter Penes, flavored Glycosides, Resin & Gum

Highly beneficial for respiratory disorders and stomach and intestinal problems. Lowers blood glucose level.

Cinnamon / Cinnamomum zeylanicum

Eugenol, Vitamins

An effective herb for strengthening and harmonizing the flow of circulation.  Serves as an expectorant in colds and flu and as a pain reliever for toothache and muscle tension. Strengthens the heart and warms the kidneys.  Prevents nerve tension, paralysis, and asthma.  Corrects uterus disorders and nausea.

Chilies or hot pepper /

Capsicum fruite sene

Contains Capsaicin & is a source of L-asparginase

Stimulates digestive juices, increases saliva flow with amylase to digest starchy, cereal foods. Counter irritant in lumbago, neuralgia, and rheumatic problems.  Useful in atonic dyspepsia.

Curry leaves / Murraya kenigi

B-Carotene, Glucoside viz. Koenigin, Ferrous, Calcium

Herbal tonic for digestive disorders, diabetes, kidney problems.  Prevents early development of cataracts.

Garlic /

Allium sativum

Allicin, Allayl Propyl Disulphide, Diallyl-Disulphide Allisation

Exceptional antiviral and antifungal properties. Promotes the growth of healthy intestinal flora.  Eliminates toxins from the body. Promotes circulation. Inhibits the common cold viruses as well as other viruses, amoebae, and other microorganisms associated with degenerative diseases.
Highly useful in arteriosclerosis, liver and gall bladder problems, heart disorders, rheumatism, blood disorders, asthma and leprosy. Reduces serum cholesterol level and lipid levels.  Lowers blood pressure.

Onion /

Allium cepa

Organic Sulphides & Catechol Ca, Riboflavin, Phosphorus, Protocatechuric Propionate

Prevents atherosclerosis in high blood pressure patients. Useful for prevention of heart attack, cholera, tuberculosis, anaemia, piles, ear disorders, respiratory diseases.  Germicidal.  Useful for treatment of urine disorders, including retention of urine and urinary incontinence. Increases libido.   Aphrodisiac.

Large Cardamom, Black Cardamom/

Amomum subulatum

Cineole, Terpinene Terpiniol, Subinine,

A-pinena Limoonene

Tonic for the heart and liver.  Appetizer.  Promotes the elimination of bile.  Helps reduce congestion of the liver. Useful in treating  gonorrhea.  Aphrodisiac. Antidote to snake and scorpion venom.

Rock Salt

Sodium, Trace Minerals (as impurities)

Useful in digestion of starchy and singular foods deficient in trace minerals required by the body.

Mustard

 

Strengthens digestion.  Relieves lung phlegm. Warming, pungent, stimulating and diuretic.

Nutmeg / Myristicafragrans

Essential oil having myristicin saponin

Useful in insomnia, digestive disorders, rheumatism, skin disorders, dehydration, depression and common cold.
