All Eastern Essence® products are completely naturally grown on small farms in India using traditional organic farming techniques. They are certified organic by the College of Indore in India, and will shortly have organic certification recognized by the USDA. Eastern Essence® has made it part of our mission to support the continuation and spread of organic farming in India, which is home to the largest body of small farmers in the world.

Prepared according to traditional Indian Ayurvedic family recipes

Eastern Essence® meals are prepared according to traditional Indian family recipes based on the principles of Ayurveda, India's 5,000 year-old holistic science of health. "Ayur" means life and "Ved" means knowledge. Eastern Essence® meals are combined with respect to this ancient science that understands the importance of balancing the body, mind and spirit.

Made by hand in small batches using triple-purified water and stainless steel cookware

Making Eastern Essence® in small batches ensures that all our products have that unmistakably delicious, homemade taste. We take great care in the preparation of all of our meals, using the purest water and stainless steel cookware. Many companies use aluminum cookware in the dehydration process because of its efficiency; however, dehydration with aluminum cookware leaves traces of aluminum in the food and reduces its nutritional value. Dehydration with stainless steel, however, leaves no traces of metal and keeps the vitality of the food intact.

Made with non-hydrogenated oils mechanically cold-pressed especially for Eastern Essence® without the use of chemical extraction

At Eastern Essence®, we use only 100% organic, unrefined, cold- pressed oils. Some companies utilize refined oils (either chemically-extracted or processed with high heat), which lack the beneficial nutrients and essential fatty acids that unrefined oils contain. Unrefined, organic vegetable oils like those used in Eastern Essence® have healing properties as well as a greater aroma and superior taste, and are an important contribution to Eastern Essence's® healthy, delicious products.

Prepared with freshly ground herbs and spices and 100% pure, mineral-rich rock salt

In Ayurveda, a very important aspect of the quality of food lies in the quality of the herbs and spices used. While most companies utilize prepowdered herbs and spices for their products, at Eastern Essence®, we grind our herbs and spices freshly before cooking, thereby keeping the essential oils of the herbs and spices intact. This ensures the highest potency of the herbs and spices and therefore, the health-promoting effects and delicious taste of all Eastern Essence® foods. Pure rock salt, used in Eastern Essence® foods, is mineral- rich and useful in digestion of certain foods.

Dehydrated at low temperatures in closed-chamber steam-boiler dryers to retain the vitality of the food enzymes and vitamins

Many companies freeze and freeze-dry their products; however, this significantly reduces the nutritional value of the food. At Eastern Essence®, we carefully dehydrate our products through a slow dehydration process that ensures practically no loss of nutritional value. At Eastern Essence, we believe people should not have to choose between high-quality nutrition and quick and easy preparation!

Nitrogen-packed without artificial flavors, colors or preservatives in a new, state-of-the-art facility in a government-designated chemical-free zone

Nitrogen flushing is the safe and effective means we use to preserve the freshness of Eastern Essence® products. Oxygen in the package is displaced with nitrogen gas, which is an inert gas that makes up about 78% of the air we breathe. No poisonous gases or harmful preservatives are used. Without oxygen in the package, the foods do not oxidize, but remain fresh, retaining their nutritional value longer.

Free of MSG, TVP, HVP, GMOs, wheat, corn, soy, yeast, and animal and dairy products
